The three Chair Drumming resources introduce rhythm, beat and groove to the classroom. All that is required are some chairs (substituting for the drum kit) and some sticks- we normally recommend chop sticks to replace drum sticks.

Each Chair drumming resource introduces a rhythm concept, examines different role each drum plays in the kit and in performing a groove:

  • Chair drumming 101 focuses on crochet (4 beat)grooves such as the back beat or disco)
  • Chair drumming 201 introduces quaver (8th) and semi quaver (16th) based grooves
  • Chairdrumming 301 add triplets and syncopated grooves

The resource includes audio files, play alongs and demonstration videos..
