"In recognition of your commitment to providing student-centred, engaging and relevant music education and your support and leadership of others so that they may do the same"
Throughout its history, Musical Futures as an approach has grown and developed from teachers working in schools with students. So teachers have always played an integral part in how Musical Futures has scaled from a UK pilot of 60 schools in the UK to a globally relevant approach to music learning and teaching engaging many 1,000's of students across the world in new ways to learn, create and play music.
Our Musical Futures teacher communities are filled with teachers who have engaged with the aims and values of Musical Futures and made a difference in their own practice as a result. Our Musical Futures Champions are those who embrace and engage with the Musical Futures vision, aims and values.
They challenge the core team at Musical Futures International to keep the organisation relevant, meaningful, current and musical. They support others locally and contribute to our teacher communities to share ideas and approaches that have worked for them and are open to what works and hasn't worked for others. They bring Musical Futures to life in their classrooms and help Musical Futures to remain forward-thinking, creative, innovative and true to the core pedagogies and approaches at its heart.
And somewhere on their classroom wall or in their office you'll see a certificate that recognises their contribution to Musical Futures as one of our Champions!
