Musical Futures - Listen and Play Your Way, Sydney 2023 is a one day Musical Futures Conference for music teachers, coming to Sydney on Wednesday 18th October 2023
Join us as we play, sing, compose, arrange, produce, scratch, rap and improvise our way through a full day of interactive workshops.
Completing Musical Futures – Listen and Play Your Way will contribute 5 hours and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing Standard Descriptor(s) 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Timings: 9am - 4pm
Venue - Ashfield Boys High School, 117 Liverpool Rd, Ashfield NSW 2131, Australia
Cost: $290AUD per person to include all resources, morning tea and lunch

- Gather ideas for developing a contemporary and progressive curriculum that engages learners and prepares students to become 21st Century Musicians
- Get creative with music technology. Explore techniques for sampling, mixing and experience approaches to rap and hip hop
- Improve student (and teacher) confidence with improvising, soloing and composing through our tried and tested approaches to classroom workshopping
