​The Winter Jam 2023 is a one day Musical Futures conference for music teachers, coming to Melbourne on 12th July 2023
​
Join us as we play, sing, compose, arrange, produce, scratch, rap and improvise our way through a full day of interactive workshops.

Venue - Melbourne Graduate School of Education, Melbourne, Victoria

About the Winter Jam...and why you should attend!

​The Winter Jam consists of practical workshop sessions utilising our flexible online resources.  The Winter Jam will support  both primary and secondary teachers through curriculum planning and delivery.  Session content includes:
 
  • Explore current trends in Music Technology & production, such as sequencing, synthesis, sampling and using electronic devices as instruments
  • All New Just Play. Explore our re-versioned approach to building a whole class band using fantastic interactive and comprehensive online resources that are suitable for all age groups
  • Gather ideas for developing a contemporary and progressive curriculum that engages learners and prepares students to become 21st Century Musicians
  • Get creative with music technology. Explore techniques for sampling, mixing and experience approaches to rap and hip hop with our very own DJ Sizzle
  • Improve student (and teacher) confidence with improvising, soloing and composing through our tried and tested approaches to classroom workshopping
  • Take away a huge collection of brand new online resources to support fun, engaging and creative music making in your school - no extra charge or subscription necessary, these are yours to keep
